Dead

CT scans in November indicated no evidence of tumor, no enlarged lymph nodes, a clear pelvis, and thickening on remaining body parts appropriate to healing after surgery. Take THAT, Grim Reaper!

Unrelated to Chris's situation completely, I highly recommend The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak, a novel for sophisticated teen readers and adults in which Death is the narrating character. I listened to the audio version which was wonderfully read. Given the setting (3rd Reich Germany in a lovingly populated little town), Zusak somehow manages to make this funny, poignant and beautiful.
