Linda served as the president of the women's group - the Relief Society - of her Mormon congregation, the North Shore 1st Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was a phenomenally enriching experience to serve, love, and come to know the wonderful women of the flock. Thanks to the wisdom of a smart bishop and the amazing competence of the three women in her presidency, Linda was given a respite from May until September. Then, going out in a blaze of glory (as opposed to the previous months which were ablaze with gory), Linda was officially released from those duties in mid-October. Thank Heaven - and all associated parties.
