CaringBridge.org is a website which allows people with life threatening illnesses or other serious conditions to inform friends and loved ones about the patient's condition without having to repeat it over and over again. The Guestbook feature is a huge plus. People can sign in and send a little greeting. We LOVE our CaringBridge.org experience, thanks to you all. If you're new to it and want to read our journal there, when it asks what site you want to visit, type chriskimball (no space).

The Chicago area was a-buzz with Cicadas this summer, just in time for our return from our month's stay in DC. There's a shot of one on the video. Yes, the colors are accurate. The creature was about 3 inches long. It's checking out the "welcome home" yellow ribbons thoughtful Mystery Festooners put on our trees.
